Research

The research and development policy followed by VISA Consultants has two goals:

To develop and to improve the services we offer, continuously ensuring the best adjustment to our customers’ needs; To guarantee the quality of the services offered, maintaining high levels of effectiveness.

The first goal is achieved through the execution of specific research projects with the co-operation of our customers. Taking into account the pioneering nature of some of the research developed, we have co-operation protocols with Institutions and research centres.

The evaluation project of the technical viability of subterranean exploration of ornamental stones at Serra de Aire e Candeeiros regions and the software development for the compartmentation analysis of ornamental stones are just two of the specific research projects we have developed in co-operation with our customers.

The second goal is achieved through the prosecution of continuous policies of internal benchmarking between operational units (supported by the Quality Guarantee System, and external benchmarking with foreigners extractives companies and industrial units. In this context, some of our collaborators visit mines and quarries in Angola, Brazil, U.S.A., Italy, Croatia, Poland, Spain, Greece and Belgium.
